The Southern Common Market (Mercosur) is a large integration project designed by Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. In economics, the Mercosul assume, today, a customs union, but their ultimate goal is to become a common market, following the objectives set by the Treaty of Asuncion, through which the block was founded in 1991. |
